I love sporting Disney merch while in the parks. It just adds a little spark of joy to an already awesome day. But what if I told you you could make your own Disney inspired merch for a fraction of the price and as a bonus, you’ll have one of a kind keepsakes.

I’m going to give you my recommendations for my top Disney park survival items and show you how I’ve personalized them using SVGs (scalable vector graphics) and my Cricut cutting machine. Cricut machines are precision cutting machines. They can cut many different types of materials but are mostly used to cut vinyl and HTV. You can create designs in Cricut’s Design Space software and you can also purchase individual SVGs. Many times I prefer purchasing ones that are already designed and ready to go. They’re usually an inexpensive and quick way to create custom made items.

I have a couple of different Cricut machines, but this is my current favorite. I personally like to use Siser or Cricut products when I’m crafting. HTV stands for heat transfer vinyl and is used for cloth projects, like t-shirts. Regular vinyl is perfect for crafts using water bottles or more slick material base. If you’d like a tutorial and more Disney inspired Cricut ideas, you can find that here.

Now that we’ve covered the basics, lets dive right in to our DIY Disney day survival kit!

DIY Water bottles:

First things first, you have to stay hydrated while at Disney. You can easily spend lots of money buying water bottles throughout the day. At 4.75 each, it doesn’t take long to spend what feels like a small fortune on water. Bringing your own refillable water bottle is an easy way to ensure you’re drinking enough as there are refill stations throughout Disney World. I love adding a little flare of style to my water bottles and I think these designs are perfect!

This water bottle is a great inexpensive option but will keep your water cooler for longer than a plastic alternative. There are so many colors to choose from and you can’t beat the price! Here’s the design I used on mine! It’s a bundle so you’ll get several different cool designs to choose from!

DIY Cooling Towels:

Do not underestimate how hot the Florida sun is. These are my top pick for cooling towels. Not only are they effective, but you can get this four pack for much cheaper than the price of one towel in the parks. You can choose from a variety of colors and easily customize them. I chose a super cute Mickey balloon design for mine. You can find the SVG here.

Organizer bags:

Chances are you’re going to want to organize your vacations essentials for the trip! These bags are a great price and will help you keep everything in it’s place during your stay. With a variety of sizes, you could use these for toiletries, sunscreen, snacks or a first aid kit. I used a super fun snack design for one of the larger bags. You can find it here.

Tshirt:

For a one of a kind t-shirt that won’t cost you a fortune. This Star Wars SVG is a great choice. It features several characters and icons! Here’s my finished product. To get the SVG, click here. This would also be a great way to put your own unique spin on Disney bounding! You could totally incorporate this design for a Star Wars bounding outfit!

Autograph Books:

Autograph books are another great way to add your own personal style. I personally think a DIY autograph book makes for a great memento to remind you of your special time at Disney! I chose these neutral, spiral bound books. I think they look so cute with the special design! I created this design in Cricut Design Space using a Disney font as well as the bow and Mickey head.

Tote Bag:

Lastly, you’re going to need a cute tote bag to carry all of your park survival essentials! I personally love the croquette bows that are big right now! I think this design is super pretty and cute! I haven’t seen this design in the parks so you’re sure to be the only one carrying this stylish bag!

Here’s another cute tote bag and this design comes straight from my own Etsy shop! It’s perfect for adding extra magic everyday and it’s easily customizable! For this tote, I used a patterned htv vinyl as well as a puffy one for the bow and words. Then I of course had to bedazzle it to add some extra sparkle! And no tote bag would be complete without a fun Disney themed keychain! If you want to see how I make the Disney version of the viral keychains, you can read more about them here!

I hope that this give you several different ideas to incorporate SVGs into your Disney attire. These are examples of ones that I did but I have even more SVG ideas for many different projects. Here’s some other SVG ideas.

I absolutely love this Runaway Railway SVG. It’s a great choice for a day at Hollywood Studios. Or maybe you’re spending the day at Animal Kingdom? If so, this simple design is very stylish. If you’re more of the humorous type, I love this one! Here’s another super simple option that packs a punch of style! If your just wanting a Mickey and Minnie, click here.

Maybe you’re kiddos are more into Disney Junior characters? Here’s some adorable Bluey SVGs. My son personally likes Spiderman. Or these Doc Mcstuffins ones would be perfect for a day of meeting her at the park!

You can easily create unique items and be prepared ahead of time. With these essential items and ideas you’re sure to have all of the important items you will need for a fun day at Disney World!
