If you or someone in your family has food allergies, it can be daunting planning a Disney vacation. It can add more difficulty when planning ahead in many different ways. While the My Disney Experience app is helpful resource, I wanted to briefly share my top dining pick for each park.
I hope that this helps streamline the process and any anxieties you may have about traveling to the parks with allergies. (Please note that I’m not a physician or allergy expert in any way and you should always carry your epi pens and talk to the chef about ingredients and food preparation/handling protocols before you dine anywhere. This is merely a guide for which places we have found helpful for our family to eat at.)
Hollywood Studios:

Woody’s Roundup BBQ: This is my favorite dining spot in all of Disney World. I know that may seem like a bold statement but the staff are very thorough when it comes to food allergies. At this table service restaurant, our servers here have always gone the extra mile to make sure we only consume food that it safe for our family and our specific allergy needs. They offer a typical BBQ menu as well as a full vegan menu! This food is refreshing and filling. If you’re interested in a more in depth review, you can find that here.
Epcot:

Sunshine Seasons: This quick service option is located in The Land and features many different food choices and snacks. I usually go for the roasted chicken with beans and an allergy friendly snack (like the Home Free cookies pictured above) to go with it. Not only can you find a variety of hot food choices, there are also salads, fresh fruit and snacks all in one spot! This is another dining favorite of mine and with so many different foods to choose from you’re sure to find something for everyone in your party! Here is a link to their lunch menu.
Animal Kingdom:

Flame Tree BBQ: Yes, another bbq option, but hear me out. Bbq is in many instances a safer choice in general for many different allergies and this quick service location doesn’t disappoint. They even have an allergy friendly menu you can find here. With so many meat and side options you can see why this is a fan favorite. This location has covered outdoor seating which is a nice reprieve from the Florida sun.
Magic Kingdom:

Columbia Harbour House: This is my top pick for Magic Kingdom because the menu offers a variety of seafood options and even has an allergy friendly menu that includes items such as gluten free chicken strips, shrimp skewers and milk friendly french fries and more! They even have a soy friendly menu- how awesome is that?! This would make a great choice, it’s quick service but indoors so you get a nice break from the heat or rain.
I really hope this was helpful in helping you realize that there can be safe options while dinning in Disney. This is just a small sample of how Disney goes above and beyond to try and be inclusive to everyone.
There are many other places that I love to dine at every time my family visits the parks. If you would like to learn about other allergy friendly dining spots you can download this Disney dining cheat sheet or my allergy friendly dining guide. I hope you know that navigating the parks with allergies doesn’t have to be scary or daunting. It’s important to have a game plan of which places might suit you and your family’s needs best as well as always having your epi pens and other meds ready. That is the winning combination!
Hopefully this was informative and helpful as you navigate your allergy journey! Be sure to download my printable for even more allergy friendly dinning options at Disney World and Disneyland!
